Deputy Minister Nguyen Huy Dung: Digital signatures are an inevitable trend.

The event is part of a nationwide campaign aiming to promote the use of individual digital signatures, targeting 10 million users by 2023.

Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Huy Dung shared that with the widespread use of technology and the internet, digital signatures have become an inevitable trend. They facilitate swift, convenient, and highly secure online transactions.

"In today's digital world, having a personal digital signature for each citizen is the missing piece to enable everyone to conduct activities in the digital space conveniently and securely," emphasized Deputy Minister Nguyen Huy Dung.

Photo: VNA Nguyen Viet Hung, Deputy Director in charge of the Hanoi Department of Information and Communications, affirmed that recently, Hanoi has been implementing the provision of free digital signatures to its citizens, enabling quick and convenient administrative procedures and electronic transactions to enhance the quality of administrative procedure resolution.

The People's Committee of Hanoi has been collaborating with partners, agencies, and units to issue free digital signatures with free public services to over 10 million citizens of the capital city from April 3.

From April to December 2023, citizens and visitors strolling around the pedestrian streets in Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi, during weekends will be introduced to the role and benefits of digital signatures in electronic transactions and will receive free digital signature issuance.

Everyone will be guided on using digital signatures when engaging in public services and secure, reliable electronic transactions throughout the process.
